Stated another way: human beings often focus on the results, while the means enacted to achieve those results reflect greater upon said individuals.

I have always been amazed at my fellow actors in the drama of life—so bent on the ends, oblivious to the means and the here and now. Life is an experience, and until you treat it like one, you'll just be an end: a dead person with nothing to show for it.</description>

In order to accept my shortcomings or self-created tragedies I have to believe that redemption comes from the attempt to live conscientiously and rightly (yes, I believe in a right that has nothing to do with elephants) and not from the success of those efforts.</description>
